Who am I

I am an early years specialist, mentor/coach/consultant and trainer with over 18 years experience in the early years education sector both locally and internationally.

I am a Senior DSL - Designated Safeguarding Lead you can read more about what that is here.
 

I am passionate about designing and creating engaging learning environments and provision that act as enhancements for active learning in early childhood.

I am a play advocate. What does that mean? It means that I believe that a child's highest form of learning and achievement happens through active, hands-on learning; "play".

 

I have a passion for play-based, hands-on learning experiences where the learning is personalised and the environment is engaging.

​

I specialise in; learning through play methods, sensory play for children from birth to 5, mentorship/coaching for early career teachers and teachers who are burnt out, face to face or online professional training for early years teams, childminders, outdoor learning enhancements and provision, indoor provision and enhancement (the third teacher).

I  am an early years author.

 

I am passionate about staff and my own well being.

​

I am passionate about the empowerment of women and young girls and have been a volunteer with the Alliance For International Women's Rights since 2018.

​

I am passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.

 

I am passionate about travelling and learning about new cultures, languages and my pet peeve (food) ;) 26 countries and counting....... You can low key stalk me and check out my next adventure here.

 

My highest achievement and qualification is being a wife to my loving husband Pedro and mum to our children; 2 boys - Daniel and Youssef and our daughter Fernanda.
